Small Town Fourth

Fireworks were being set off all over town. Yes, it sounded like a small war zone for most of the day. Then evening came and most of the town made its way to the sports fields on the west of town.

As it became darker one could see fireworks go up into the sky. Was that all there was? Actually the fireworks a private person could set off now are much more sophisticated than they were when I was a kid. Back then we thought the fountain were really WOW. HA! What did we know. The next two pictures are private fireworks. The bright light in the lower left is some dingbat's car lights. Oh well at least they moved on when the town's fireworks began.

The town's fireworks began at 9:45 PM. The fireworks were set to music - mostly country and some Springsteen. Interesting. Didn't hear the 1812 Overture from the loudspeaker.

My Husband, David would turn on PBS and wait for the Boston Pops to play the 1812 Overture. He would turn the volume on LOUD!!! Didn't see the Boston Pops this year.

Firework displays was pretty neat for a small town display. Good job, Guys.!!
